Motor Club of America (MCA) has been around a long time selling roadside services.
Have you ever been stuck on the roadside, your car broken down with no help, been locked out of your car or run out of petrol?
It has happened to me and it’s very annoying. Motor Club of America provides roadside assistance packages to deal with these situations.
To cover your costs of buying one of these packages and to even earn some money you can become an associate. You will then sell these packages to other people and earn commissions.
In this Motor Club of America review, I will determine if this is a genuine business opportunity or another scam.
Product: Motor Club of America
Overall Ranking: 40 out of 100 or 2/5 stars
Price: Free to join but recommended to buy a plan from $9.95 per month
Owner: Virgil Coffee
Websites: tvcmatrix.com, tvcmarketing.com, and motorclubofamerica.com
Background
Motor Club of America (MCA) was founded back in 1926 by William W. Green, who was CEO of the company until 1986. Then sold a couple of times before the current parent company, TVC Marketing took control.
The owner and founder of TVC in 1987 was Virgil Coffee. TVC stands for Truckers Voice in Court. As the name suggests TVC provides court representation for truckers involved in motor-related incidents. TVC still sells these products for professional drivers alongside the MCA packages.
Previously Mr. Coffee was an employee at Pre-Paid Legal Services. Where reportedly he introduced a multi-level marketing scheme that sold many plans. This greatly increased the profitability of the company. He is continuing the same marketing policies with MCA.
What is Motor Club of America?
Motor Club of America gives its members the benefits of a traditional motor club like the AAA.
They have two plans for ordinary private drivers, that cover things like:
- roadside assistance – towing up to 100 miles, lockout service, fuel delivery, tire changes, battery charging and more
- travel assistance – up to $500 reimbursements for things like car hire, accommodation, meals, etc.
- arrest bonds – your MCA membership card can be used instead of a cash bail.
- bail bonds – keep out of jail grace of the funds available with your membership card up to $25,000
- attorney fees – different levels depending on the offense up to $2000
- credit card protection
- prescription, vision and dental discounts – savings of up to 65% on certain medical expenses
- emergency costs reimbursed
- hospital benefit – up to $150 per day
- accidental death benefit
These services provided by MCA are quite legitimate and can be useful.
Alongside this is their affiliate marketing program. This resembles a multi-level marketing system.
There are quite a few people who claim to make a good living selling MCA plans and signing up new members. It’s this part of the company I will be looking at in this review.
Below is a video that explains everything MCA offers.
Motor Club Of America as a Work At Home Opportunity?
Who is this for?
This could be for someone who has already some internet marketing experience. If not you will need a team leader who has some marketing knowledge and is willing to help you.
To achieve success with a scheme like MCA you must be willing to work long hours. Persuading others to buy something is really difficult. Remember the vast majority of people who start with an MLM lose money or spend more than they receive, so be warned.
Not everyone is cut out to be successful with multi-level marketing. You must enjoy meeting people and then trying to sell them your product. You must be prepared to be rejected very often. If you try selling to friends or family, you risk irritating them at the very least.
Anyone who reads my posts regularly will know that I am not a fan of MLM’s, so I certainly wouldn’t recommend this, especially to newbies.
How the MCA Affiliate Scheme Works
You can sign up as an associate or affiliate with MCA for free. However, MCA does recommend you buy a membership, so you get to know what you are marketing. This isn’t an obligation although some affiliate websites give you the impression that it is!
This video from the TVC YouTube channel explains why it might be a good idea to have a membership.
MCA official website
Motor Club of America now has an official site https://motorclubofamerica.com/. There are many affiliate sites that have the allure of an official site. This can be very confusing.
Some of the affiliate sites are:
Certain of these sites mislead people by saying they have to buy a membership package to become an associate. I would have expected MCA to stop this practice, that they clearly must know about.
Considering these associates or affiliates are probably selling many membership packages they are allowed to continue selling and signing up affiliates this way. Obviously, they don’t care at all about anyone who wants to start their own business. They are only interested in making the most commissions possible.
You earn commissions by signing up others to an MCA membership. The company pays commissions weekly in advance. The commissions are calculated for a 17 month period. So, should your member leave before the end of the period, there will be a chargeback. This money will be taken from your future sales, chargebacks will not exceed 50% of your paycheck.
After you have managed to convince someone to sign up it is the company’s job to keep them, if they cancel their membership it’s not your fault. Perhaps it’s because the membership doesn’t provide good value or there could be cheaper options elsewhere. In any case, it’s a shame not to receive the full benefits for all your hard work.
Free To Join But Confusing
Although TVC says it’s free to join, to receive the website that TVC/MCA provides, you need to have an active membership (a membership you have purchased). This is confusing and a little deceptive.
MCA Compensation
You earn commissions on each roadside package you sell. There is no commission for just recruiting an associate but you will earn money from the sales he or she makes.
To earn money with Motor Club of America you must:
- Be over 18 years old
- Reside in the US or Canada
- Complete your W-9 (W-8 in Canada) tax form
- Sign and return their Independent Associate Agreement
- Complete any licensing requirements this depends on your state of residence
- Set up a direct deposit to your bank
The basic compensation an associate earns when a customer buys a plan is $80 or $40, depending on the plan. As the seller of the package, you receive twice the amount they have paid. The more sales you achieve per week the more commission you can earn per sale.
As I mentioned before, there may be chargebacks when people leave the system.
Are the Motor Club of America Packages Competitive?
Similar packages from the American Automobile Association (AAA) and Good Sam are considerably cheaper.
- Total security plan from MCA costs $19.95 per month or $239.40 per year
- Premier plan from AAA costs $118 per year
- Security premier plan from NMC costs $20 per month or $240 per year
- Travel assist individual from Good Sam costs $60 per year
It’s true the guarantees are not exactly the same. MCA offers cover for additional items.
The most important criteria for most people is the price. As we can see there are cheaper plans, MCA is at least double the price of the AAA and Good Sam. This is why many people may well change company after a few months.
How To Sell Packages and Build Your Team
The idea behind this scheme is to sell memberships and encourage people to become affiliates. In turn, these people recruit new members and sell more packages.
When you sign up a new member they are added to your team and you receive a commission when they make a sale. If you are serious about making money with this system you will have to train your team to make more sales and recruit new members. A typical MLM scheme.
The TVC Marketing site gives you some ideas for recruiting new members:
- Start a blog and tell people about your experience with MCA
- The three-foot rule – everyone within three feet of you is a potential recruit. This basically means ask anyone and everyone if they know of someone who wants to earn $500 – $1000 per week (their figures) full or part-time work
- Merchant recruiting – asking business managers if they know anyone interested in earning $50 – $60,000 per year
- Who do you know – ask every new recruit to enter the names of people he knows
- Classified ads
- Google Adwords
- Post on job boards
- Create a flyer with your contact details
- Business cards
Some legitimate ways to get some leads but you should be careful not to incur too many expenses when you’re starting.
Although Motor Club of America doesn’t have any training they do have some useful videos on their YouTube channel.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Free to join although you are recommended to buy a plan from $9.95 per month
- You’re selling some useful services
- You are paid weekly
Cons
- In the past, there has been lots of hype surrounding the company on the internet. To their credit, MCA is trying to stop this.
- Costs for promotional materials
- Only available in USA and Canada
- Chargebacks can undo your hard work
- MLM
- Some MCA associates charge you to become an affiliate
- No marketing training
Training and Tools
MCA doesn’t provide any training. This is up to the person who recruited you. TVC does outline some training ideas you could use if you start recruiting members. But it’s up to you to implement or not.
They seem to be adding videos quite regularly to their YouTube channel so this is worth following.
Support
You can contact them via:
- a 24/7 toll-free phone number that operates 365 days per year
- live chat
For any other support, you will have to contact your team leader.
What Are Members or Ex-Members Saying About MCA?
You will not find many negative reviews for Motor Club of America because members have to accept an agreement that has the following clause:
Nonetheless, if you go to the Ripoff Report site you will find complaints and the replies from MCA affiliates, naturally saying what a great scheme it is. On the other hand, there are plenty of positive comments or reviews, but as to be expected these are in the great majority from MCA affiliates. Therefore finding an objective review or comments is quite difficult.
On the Better Business Bureau website, there are reviews, mainly about the roadside services. Some positive and some negative. They have an A+ rating but nevertheless, I find it worrying there are so many negative reviews.
Why Are There Many Reviews Saying MCA Is A Scam?
One of the big problems is that many MCA associates publish reviews or videos that say it’s possible to earn $1000s per week. People are misled into thinking it is easy to make money. When they don’t earn anything they say they were scammed and that MCA is a scam. The culprits aren’t really MCA but the associates who promote it giving false expectations.
How much does it cost to join Motor Club of America?
You can join the MCA work from home scheme for free. You don’t have to purchase a membership although it is recommended, so you understand what you are promoting.
If you join through the other affiliate sites, you will have to pay for a membership plan before qualifying for the compensation program.
Motor Club of America doesn’t provide much in the way of promotional materials. You do get a website if you have a membership or you have signed up to become an associate.
Apart from that, you will have to pay for any other promotional materials you use. Often these are supplied for free by the company you are promoting. These fees can add up rapidly. If you are serious about promoting MCA you will have to pay for adverts, business cards, flyers, brochures, etc.
Consequently, the initial cost maybe $0, but with the promotional items your costs will soon add up.
In some states, you will need a license to promote the MCA packages. A license fee can be as low as $5 going all the way up to $247.
My final opinion
MCA isn’t a scam, they seem to pay their associates on time and they do provide a product that could be useful.
However, I wouldn’t recommend this scheme as a way of making money online. You will have to work very hard to make sales and MCA don’t provide you with any internet marketing training.
Find A good Sponsor
If you are a newbie, you will need to rely on your sponsor for training and support. This might be alright if you are lucky enough to find a good sponsor, but if not you will almost certainly be doomed to failure.
Therefore, if you want to try this scheme, start searching for a sponsor who is honest and looks after his referrals. Remember, many associates say that you have to buy an assistance package to join the scheme. This isn’t correct but it is recommended so you fully understand the product to successfully market it.
Some sponsors make it seem easy to achieve sales, which isn’t true and use videos with lots of hype.
Will You Make Money?
If you’re a confident, outgoing person, who is comfortable talking to people and promoting MCA to them, perhaps you could make this work. You will also have to lead and motivate your team to take action and follow your training.
The big question is – will you make any money? There are some that make a good living with MCA. But most likely you may get some members of your family or some friends to join and that will be all.
Another negative point is the fact that the plans marketed by Motor Club of America, cost more than similar plans from other well-known companies (although, it’s fair to say MCA do offer additional items in their cover).
This means you may have trouble selling these plans in the first place and if you manage to secure a sale, it’s very likely your customer may cancel their plan after a short time when they discover they can buy a similar package for less than half the price.
I don’t think you should join MCA to make money or sell it as a money-making opportunity. Try the roadside assistance packages if you like and see what they offer.
If you do decide to promote the packages how will you justify that their cost is significantly more than the AAA, Allstate, AARP or Good Sam? Why don’t they appear in the Top 10 Reviews for Best Roadside Assistance or other comparisons of roadside assistance companies?
There are very few who succeed with MLMs. Some sources say 99% of those who participate in MLMs lose money.
You will probably do as well as the average MLM member. Sell nothing and be out of pocket with the package and promotional materials you bought.
Verdict: Not recommended
Multi-Level Marketing is not for you, try affiliate marketing
If you feel that MLM or selling roadside assistance packages is not your thing, there are other legitimate ways of earning money online. For me learning to build your own business and having your own website is a much better opportunity.
There is an online course that will teach you the entire process of setting up your business. The training program is Wealthy Affiliate, you are supplied with all the tools you need to start your own successful business. It’s free to join and take a look around.
Have you any experience with MCA? I would love to hear if you were successful or not with this program. Please leave a comment below.

Motor Club of America Review
Summary
Description:MCA is a company that offers roadside assistance packages, for the occasions that you are unlucky enough to need assistance after breaking down, running out of petrol or having a puncture. Alongside these assistance packages, Motor Club of America is also promoted as a money-making opportunity, where you earn commission for selling these packages. An MLM scheme where you sign up members to create your own downline.
Price:Free to join
My opinion: I don’t think MCA is a scam, their products can be useful. However, they are more expensive than the assistance packages sold by the competition. If you do decide to promote the MCA assistance plans, remember it’s up to your sponsor to provide training which they might or might not do. It will be very hard work to make sales especially for someone with no marketing experience. I don’t recommend this scheme as a money-making opportunity.

Hey Pete, thanks for the honest MCA review. I was searching for a review of motor club of america and found your post. Thank you!
Pleased it was useful, Jacob!
I heard of this business from a friend of mine and started to investigate this company. I find this business legit and it helps a lot of families both in their service and business plan.
I wanted to get the business part of it cause I am an Affiliate Marketing that market people products on my website.
This article has given me a new look on MCA, please provide me with details on the best approach on how to join and if it is possible to market this business on my website. Thank you.
Hi Dave,
Yes, I have no problem with this business if it is used just to promote the roadside assistance plans. Although it certainly won’t be easy to sell these plans when comparing prices to the competition. If you do sell the plans I don’t think you should promote it as a business opportunity. Having experience as an affiliate marketer maybe you can do well selling the assistance plans.
Yes, you can use your own website to promote MCA, just make sure you follow their rules and guidelines.
Best of luck,
Peter
Has anyone actually used their services. All of the reviews I find online are about working for them, I haven’t seen any reviews from actual customers who used their services (towing etc) I was looking to become an associate, but I don’t want to be selling a a poor product or service. Thanks
It’s true, there don’t seem to be many reviews about the services offered by MCA. This may be a good sign as people are much more likely to leave a review if they aren’t satisfied with the services. However, I quite agree with your thinking, you should only promote a product that you know is good value.
Great review I have seen this company being advertised all over online.
Looks like a good service if you are into the mlm thing.
I myself go the affiliate marketing route like yourself.
But nice honest review on the company and what to expect.
Thanks Jay!
Hey Peter, so I just graduated from my high school last year, I know almost nothing about online marketing, and I’ve been looking into MCA for a couple months now. My question is mainly, if I work without end, and find a sponsor who can properly teach me and guide me, is this an actual thought that I can pursue? It is also something that I’m passionate in attempting.
Hi Shane,
If you find a good sponsor who will give you some good training then give it a go. If you’re willing to work hard, to learn and take action you might make it work. Whatever the outcome you will learn something from the experience and it shouldn’t cost you much.
Best of luck,
Peter
Great opportunity for someone willing to put in the work and effort. If you get lazy this may not be for you. But if you really are serious about making money when you want. You need to be a real sales person.
Hi David,
Not easy but with hard work and some good training you might be able to make some money selling MCA packages.
All the best,
Peter
I’m with (MCA)for about 4 months I call them today January 3 at 10:40 they say there’s a one hour wait, I waited for one hour with 12:30 ,re- scheduled client for 1:30 By 12:20 called ( allay with is a third party) they say credit card didn’t go through , so call MCA they say do high transaction there car got rejected, so we have to rebook you and it will take extra 45 min wait I couldn’t wait another 45 min so I took a Cab arrive at my business at 2:30 lost my client $200 lost, had to take a cab $35 and I have to call CAA for help cost me $120.00 ,I call MCA to cancel and go reimburse my four months they say no , so now I have to go for small claim court.
Sorry to hear about your problems Guerline. MCA advertise 24/7 roadside assistance within 45 minutes of your call, looks like they failed in this case. I know it doesn’t help you but I haven’t seen many complaints about their service online. Hopefully, they will offer you some form of reimbursement.
Best of luck,
Peter
MCA is a great opportunity, for some who is dedicated and not looking for get rich quick scheme. I’m making money it took 2 months to get my first sale, no, you have to do more than facebook spamming and craigslist posting it don’t work for everybody. You need to be creative and find ways to get the word out. You can join my team at mcapayu.com
Hi David,
Glad Motor Club of America is working for you. If you go into this knowing that it will take work and time you stand a better chance of success. Some of the reviews, affiliate sites or videos give the wrong impression with photos of expensive cars, villas, and people with lots of dollars in their hands. I see you’re an affiliate of MCA I hope you give your team members the training and help they need.
All the best,
Peter
I joined Motor Club of America recently and spend the best decision I’ve made lately I’ve been struggling to keep up with my bills and this has been a great help. It was hard starting out how to ask a lot of friends and family to join many were not interested but I’ve been putting in a lot of hard work posting on Facebook Twitter and my blog. I recommend this two people who are trying to make some extra money or who would just like to work from home. If you aren’t a member already you can use this link to join.
Hey Kathleen,
So pleased this is working out well for you. If you put in the work then you fully deserve any success you’re getting. I appreciate you leaving a comment and also for pointing out that it’s not easy. Sorry, I’ve removed your affiliate link.
All the best,
Peter
Hi Peter, I’m not affiliated with MCA. I just want to clear something up if I may. I’m not sure if you are correct in your math here.
” the platinum package from MCA costs $39.99 per month or $480 per year ”
I thought it was $39.99 to get enrolled which is the first and last month then $19.99 monthly after.
That only comes to just under $240 annually. If I’m wrong I apologize, I just want to make sure my head is clear.
Hi Oscar,
Just been to the MCA site and they only seem to promote 2 plans now. MCA Security at $9.95 and Total Security at $19.95. The Platinum plan which was $39.95 per month doesn’t seem to be available now. The Total Secuirity plan would be $239.40 annually.
Thanks for your comment,
Peter
Hi Peter if I sell a $9.95 plan, how much commission would I make on each plan that I sell today? When I got into MCA back in 2012, and I sold a $9.95 plan, I made $40 for each sale, and when I sold a $19.95 plan, I made $80 for each sale. Now they are only paying $35 for a $19.95 plan. Everything has changed so much, but I still agree that MCA has been there for me when my car was stuck and when I locked my keys in my car, and my son had a flat tire. I did get paid every Friday, so I don’t have any complaints about their service. The reason I am asking this, is because it is a little hard for me to find stuff on the internet because I have dyslexia. I had to get my wife to write this for me, so I would appreciate all the help you could give me. Thanks so much, Also I hope you have a very merry christmas and a happy new year.
Hi Albert,
As I understand it the amount they payout hasn’t changed. What has changed is the amount they pay in advance, it used to be 17 months which worked out at $80. Now it’s 7 months which works out at $35. This video explains it in more detail.
I hope that helps!
Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
Peter
Great post review about MCA. I hope to find more useful post about internet marketing to help with growing a business some day. Is your blog solely based on blogging for profits?
Hi Shay,
Glad you enjoyed the review! This blog is to help people earn money from blogging, providing tips and reviews. Recommending legitimate programs and helping people avoid the scams.
All the best,
Peter
So overrall does this really pay out. And with the whole argument in haVing to have a membership to make money. Interesting knowing if online money is scam or legitimate.
Hi Ashley,
If you make sales this does payout but don’t go into this thinking it will be easy. If you have never done anything like this before, you will struggle unless you have some good training from your referrer. You don’t have to purchase a membership to make sales as you will see in the Important Notes section of this page.
By following a legitimate training program you can learn how to make money online ethically. You should beware it’s a lot of work and takes time but can be very enjoyable and rewarding.
Peter
I’m an experienced network marketer, been there and done that since Amway. The most important ingredient in any NWM plan is the product. If the product is legit, compensations are on time, then its only a matter of how hard youre willing to work to achieve a level of success that you will be content with. That measure varies between all individuals. Is support from your upline available? And to what extent of knowledge does he/she possess? And to what extent are the compensations/earnings going to be? How wide and how deep am I allowed to build my network, in other words, exactly how are my compensations generated, would be my question to MCA at this point before I join.
Hi Skip,
The products MCA sells are legit and they seem to pay on time. To be successful you will have to put in the work, might be hard for newbies to make money from this depending on what support they get from their referrer. For someone like you with experience with MLM programs, you could do well.
Compensation is generated by selling the memberships and products this page gives more details on the amount you will earn and the affiliate program.
Thanks for your comment,
Peter
In my opinion MCA is a great opportunity and can make anyone successful if they work at it. It is not a scam because allot of people are successful with them and some are not. There is tons of proof of them being legit on the internet. I am not a member but I am considering joining. A friend of mine is a member and he is making money with them.
Hi Matt,
I don’t think MCA is a scam but as you say you will have to work hard to make money with this. If you join, find a good sponsor who will train and support you.
Best of luck,
Peter

hi there?? I am in Kenya and interested, does MCA operate in my country?
Hi Martha,
MCA only operates in the USA and Canada.
Hey Peter!! I actually was talking to an associate of MCA tonight and she told me upfront to make money you have to be a member. It tells you up front on the website it is commission based so to make money, you have to make a sale. Now I personally will keep a full time job, but for extra money AND insurance coverage I think it’s worth trying it 🙂
Hi Victoria! As you say, you have to be a member to earn money but I don’t think that means you have to purchase a policy to become an associate. It’s clearly stated in the Independent Associate agreement that no product purchase by the associate is required. I wish you success!
Peter
To be an associate is free but having a membership counts toward your personal sales volume and qualification for additional bonuses. After being a associate for 3 months there are sales volume requirements to receive all commissions and bonuses and having a membership can help toward your sales volume. Most marketers promoting mca opportunity promote the joining as well because ideally they would like to have associate as customers or some marketers offer additional training support or websites for having a membership.
I’ve been a customer for 3 years and promoted it for off and and on but am mainly there for the benefits. Its well worth it. To say its overpriced is a manner of opinion. when you factor in the fact it offers unlimited coverage and other benefits like hospital benefit, accidental death and legal coverage benefits the cost clearly be justified.
Having a membership has its benefits when trying to market MCA from a retail perspective. One of the easiest ways to gets sales is just showing people you know the benefits package you receive from joining and asking them to make a purchase. Mca has plans as cheap as $10 per month which just covers unlimited towing to the nearest service area. Most market the $20 unlimited 100 mile plan.
Also one policy is good for the whole family. AAA Premier a comparable plan to MCA total security is $128 the first year and $15 setup in my area. $80 to add a spouse
Its cheaper but once again you get Unlimited service calls vs 4. Also the cost is AAA after your first year increased significantly. The website doesn’t mention the renewal cost anywhere but its mentioned in membership guide.
Thanks for the clarification Matt! Glad to hear you are happy with the benefits they offer related to price. I quite agree it’s much better to market the product when you are already a member, you really know the benefits and any downside.
All the best,
Peter
I’m an MCA member.
I love your video. I only want your permission to use your video on my advertising. Please let me know your decision.
Hi Frantzsy,
The video is not mine, I got it from YouTube. When videos are published on YouTube the owners have the choice to enable or disable the share button. When you click the share button you are provided with HTML code to insert on your site. If the owner enables the share button this means they are happy for others to embed their videos.
Hope that helps,
Peter
This is very useful information for those who are looking at this opportunity. I feel so many promote and advertise the company wrong which gave the company a bad name. their benefits are unbeatable and the various amounts of travel and health discounts that anybody can use. the whole $40 to join thing i have no clue as to why its promoted this way when it clearly states ” Don’t Promote it ” as you have to make a purchase to become an Associate. Im New to the company and you simple need a couple tools like Online Sales Pro and advertising skills.
Don’t Join this opportunity looking to get Rich Quick, it takes work like any business.
Many thanks for your comment Naim. The benefits proposed by MCA aren’t bad although I still find they are expensive compared to other companies selling similar products. However, they do offer additional cover. This is definitely not a get rich quick scheme, you will need training and hard work to be successful. It’s still stated on the TVC site that you don’t need to purchase a membership to become an associate. As I understand it, you are an active member for 3 months after you sign up without having to purchase a membership.
Good luck with your business,
Peter
MCA associates are unbelievable. I asked one about being an affiliate for MCA without purchasing the membership. According to the TVCMatrix website, you can become an affiliate for free. He said, yes that is possible, but you are not paid unless you are an active member of MCA. So what is the point of having an affiliate program?
Hi Lori,
Yes MCA is a little strange. You can become an affiliate for free but to get the website they provide you have to purchase a membership and to qualify for their bonuses you have to have a membership of $19,99. I find all this very misleading perhaps that’s what they are trying do. The person who referred you to the TVC will get paid if you become an active member, so it is possible to earn money as an affiliate.
mca is genuie website ? whether the website gives money to people now also…if i invest $40 and then how much profit may be ? is the work is easy ? i am n INDIA. These services will work here also
Hi Arun,
If you were to put in the work you could make some money but it will be very hard work selling these plans. Impossible to say if you will make anything or how much you could possibly earn. If you have never done anything like this before you will need some training. As you’re from India this isn’t for you.
hi I’m aryeal and I just recently became a member of MCA and I was excited about it in the beginning but I looked on Google and there’s a lot of things about it saying its a scam I honestly need to no if it is.I just recently made me a bank account and there is no money in it cuz I really am thinking its a scam can I have second opinions? or proof its not a scam?
Hi,
I know there are a lot of reviews that call MCA a scam but they have do have some plans that are useful, although more expensive than the competition. The big question is – if you signed up under a sponsor do they offer any training? Without training, if you’ve never done any work like this before you will probably struggle. It is possible to earn some extra cash selling these products but it won’t be easy.
Best of luck,
Peter
is this website scam or not ? whether the website gives money to people…is it genuie ?
work is just copy paste post …it is easy only….
Hi Arun,
It’s is possible to earn money from selling the packages, although it won’t be easy.
I just want to address the cost comparison issue:
I am looking at MCA as a replacement for the roadside assistance coverage I’ve carried on each of my auto insurance policies for years – which worked out quite well until my son took his 20-yr-old truck with him to college. He’s had multiple disablements for issues ranging from a dead battery, to a flat tire, to some major mechanical failures which stranded him on a busy interstate. Needless to say, the insurance company is unhappy, and they decided not to renew roadside assistance on all of my vehicles, not just his. Unlike the insurance riders or other private club plans like AAA, MCA advertises that a member can use the assistance services every day. That is quite a valuable benefit, and well worth the additional monthly expense for the peace of mind it brings.
Good point AB! If you have a vehicle that’s relatively new then the MCA packages might seem expensive but for an older vehicle, they could be interesting. It depends on your situation, most people probably hardly ever have to call out the assistance which makes the cheaper alternatives more attractive.
Many thanks for your comment,
Peter
Hello Peter,
I am a Member of AAA & Good Sam RV Motor Club.
I am also a member of TVC/MCA (Pro-Hot-Shot Driver). I am also an Independent Associate for TVC/MCA. You are correct that MCA is more expensive in percieved cost ($).
AAA has a $20.00 add on for Plus package to include 100 mile towing for up to 4 time a year. This is a Benifit membership company, same at MCA.
“Good Sam RV” has this included with my Vehicle Insurance package. It is a separate charageable line item, with only 4 uses allowed per year.
The Medical Benifit {Ambulance & Hospital} is an additional “Accident Benifit” not normally supplied by the other “Companies”. This is similar to “AFLAC” ; in that it pays CASH directly to the member.
The “Air Ambulance Service” is included with the MCA package with no extra charge.
“Air Ambulance” service, when offered, is usually an extra charge {&40..00 or &70,00 Good Sam RV} and I do not know the amount for the amount for AAA. I do know that MASA charges &60.00 and up for this service.
“I have noticed that this item of our coverage has not been mentioned in your discussion here.”
To me this is A MAJOR FACTOR in the package.
Both TVC & MCA packages are purchased for the “VALUE” they provide; not as as an “INCOME” producing package (this is a side bonus).
This is why I bought my TCV membership (which included most of the MCA package).
I also, many years ago, was a member of PPL. The original Legal Service started by the founder of TVC.
Also, on June 3, 2016, “Joe Fish” posted a comment requesting additional information. I have posted a “reply comment” by that posting”.
If possible, could you contact “Joe Fish”, to insure sees my reply, or can you have him contact me at the contact info given in the reply.
Thank you for your kind attention.

Thanks for these details Dan. I appreciate that the different companies don’t cover exactly the same risks and I did mention this in my review. The amount of cover someone wants is for the individual to decide. When I want a roadside assistance plan the most important point for me is the 24/7 roadside assistance, towing, unlocking the vehicle, changing a flat tyre, jump starting a flat battery etc. Other extra services or coverage might be useful but not necessary for everyone.
All the best,
Peter
And I am sure you will claim that Wealthy Affiliate is a great program. Why don’t you just admit that all Wealthy Affiliates are trained to put up reviews like the one you wrote for MCA and other companies in order to attract traffic to your website so that you can market your Wealthy Affiliate program. That in itself is a scam. You know nothing about these companies you are reviewing and say stupid things like they will be hard to sell, etc. But yours is easy to sell? I went through 85% of the Wealthy Affiliate training and it sucked. Minor league training that you can learn in one hour can takes weeks under your program. You have a bunch of 80 year olds who go there for “training” for stuff I learned back in 2000. They train you to write reviews about how other companies are so so, pepper it by throwing the “scam” word around but here check out this “FREE” opportunity that we will try to upgrade you later – leading to Wealthy Affiliate. Scam alert yourself.
Hi David,
I think Wealthy Affiliate is a very good training program. Members of Wealthy Affiliate are free to promote products in any niche they choose, we are not all trained to write reviews in the make money online niche. That was my choice! Many other members promote products in different niches, which you should know having been a former member. I am surprised you criticize the training at WA, many thousands have been through the training and have found or find it awesome. There are hundreds of hours of lessons at WA, certainly nothing to compare to the one hour you mention.
“You have a bunch of 80-year-olds”, I haven’t yet reached that honorable age but I admire people of advancing years who try to widen their knowledge by taking internet marketing training. The majority members of WA are younger than this but it’s great to have members of different ages, experiences and nationalities.
“Learning stuff you learned in 2000” did you learn about WordPress in 2000, it didn’t exist! That is just one thing you learn at WA and as you know the internet changes so fast what was relevant in 2000 no longer works today.
You’re are right, like other affiliate marketers I try to drive people to products I promote. But personally, I only recommend products that I find are legitimate. You may have noticed I did say that MCA wasn’t a scam, they have some products that some may find useful. However, I don’t recommend it as a way of earning money. That’s my opinion!
Thanks for your comment,
Peter
Where are you getting the pricing information from?
Hi Tiff,
The pricing information in the review for MCA came from the TVC site or affiliate sites. Any other prices used in the review came from the respective company’s site and were correct when the article was published.
If you’re referring to the prices quoted by Dan in the comment above, he would have to answer that question.
Peter
I am 22 years old and I’m signed up with wealthy affiliate. Wealthy affiliate is a GOOD training program! You are just being a troll. I do thorough reviews on programs that are being sold and wealthy affilate is actually rated high, by many many people. Hardly anyone has anything negative to say unlike tais 67 step program and Anthony Morrison. Mca could be a scam, and does seem unprofessional according to reviews I’ve read. How ever you can not say anything bad about wealthy affiliate because there is nothing bad. Do you expect to sign up for a program and make a successful life doing nothing? You need to invest time and sometimes money. Watch the programs and actually learn! People are online making money. They learned from somewhere.
Obviously, I agree with you Jazmyn. I don’t know what David’s problem was with WA but you and I are just a couple of the thousands of satisfied members. Many thanks for your comment and wish all the best with your business.
Peter
Hi , Peter
I was going to join Tori Brookes’ , an associates team but I did not like her attitude, it was very bad . So I am currently debating on joining this organization. I just will like more information on this work company because it just sounds like all we do is pay for the membership just so people can get their money and run with it because we are paying from our credit cards. That is unacceptable to me. So what are we selling? What products are we selling? I will like to join if it is legit because I am an Network Technology student from Kaplan University. I have an 3.51 G.P.A. I need more job experience.By the way can you tell me if MCA will accept Netspend primer cards?
Hi Quiona,
It’s important to find a good sponsor who will provide you with some good training. So, if you didn’t like this sponsor’s attitude you made a good decision to look elsewhere.
You will be selling the roadside assistance packs, the packs are legit although a little expensive when compared to their competitors. Some people promote MCA as a way to make money, which it may be, but it is very hard work selling packs like this. Hence the need to find a good sponsor. If you do manage to sell a few packs to people who want to earn money you will then have to motivate and train your own team which could be a good experience for you.
Sorry, I don’t know if MCA accepts Netspend cards.
Best of luck,
Peter
Hello, I’m a current mca associate and I have a team of winners..we sell the benefits and services of MCA. That’s all, there’s no way we can scam or “run off” with anyones money because the money goes to the company, not us. If you want to become an associate, you actually do have to be a member of the company. Peter is correct, you simply have to join under the right sponsor, most people join the sponsors who make all this money and flash their flashy lifestyle everywhere and then, they get stuck with no training then go on to call the company a “scam” because they didn’t make any money. If you are still interested in knowing more about MCA, I’d be happy to help.
Hey jay..u saw this video on Facebook and contemplating on joining a young ladies team. I’m still shaky bout it all..I just don’t want to fall for anything bogus
I’m actually really interested if I truly can sell this and make commission, plus my husband’s really into cars so if the service claims what it does he will totally benefit from it, currently we have triple A and he only gets 3 tows a year and typically used all three within 6 months. He helps his friends out 90 percent of the time then has no tows for himself if needed, my car is a lease so I technically don’t need it since the dealership takes care of my car regardless if I’m miles away. But I know I will be able to get my family to buy these plans. I just don’t like the guy I discovered this program threw, he asked if people were interested in the info and then claimed he went on a small vacation, but would be getting back to people. Which yes he did get back to me, but he’s rubbing off on me as he just wants to make the commission on me signing up for the service and I feel getting training from him won’t be so easy. He just comes off as once you sign up and he gets commission he will half ass train or start ignoring the fact of training and blowing the person off. If I get into this I want to get into it to truly sell the product and be educated, not just simply sell the product and make commission and then shrug off the people whom decide they also want to sell the product. I understand there will be the few people who will want to just buy the assistance and pay the monthly fee and not want to bother marketing and selling it and that’s great, but if I go forward I want to be ready and educated on helping someone who does come along and wants to market the product. If you could email me that would be amazing!
Thanks!
Hi Heather,
Sounds like a MCA assistance package could be good for you and your husband. If you click on Jay’s name you will be taken to his website and after a little navigating around you will see his contact details. This is probably the best way to enter into contact with him. After seeing so many scams online I’m always a little wary of promises, so try to see what he really offers in the way of training before signing up.
Good luck with your business if you give it a go and I would love to hear how you get on.
Peter
Hello Jay,
I am in the process of talking with a young lady about joining on her team, I am concerned with training and making sure I have the guidance to be successful! Is there anything I would be asking before signing up with her?
Hi Jamie,
I don’t know if Jay will see this, but I would ask what training she provides and if she has any members of her team you could contact to verify she actually provides some form of training.
Best of luck,
Peter
I know you posted this a while back but someone who works for them told me they won’t accept them because I asked the same question.
Hi Tiffany, I think you’re saying MCA doesn’t accept Netspend primer cards.
Thanks for letting us know.
Peter
Hello, I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with a team member however if you need someone that will help you step by step I am here to assist you. Please know that my main focal point is to advertise the great packages rather than push people just to sign up to sell it.
I NEED HELP. MY CURRENT SPONSOR DOESN’T CALL OR REPLY.
Hi Maria,
You could try contacting MCA. In their associate agreement, it’s clearly stated that “Sponsors must have ongoing contact, communication and management supervision with his/her sponsored Associate.” Although, I don’t know if they enforce this clause.
Best of luck,
Peter
Okay so we’re basically talking about an MLM scheme here right? It seems the sales sides of things are leaning towards that!
I know the name of this brand MCA but I never really realized what or how they made their money – especially the affiliates side of things! Thanks for this review – cleared a lot of things up for me!
There a part of the program that is an MLM scheme and I think it’s a shame that some promote this more as a money making opportunity rather than promoting the benefits of the roadside packages. MCA have some products that some may find useful, although rather expensive when you see what the competition is offering. I think making money from selling the packages would be hard work and you would certainly need some training and support to get started.
Thanks for your comment Chris,
Peter
I am a MCA promoter and i would have to say for me i am about promoting the packages rather than recruiting people to sell it under me.
HI Nicole,
I’m pleased to hear that! For me, people should buy the packages because they are useful and provide good value not because they might earn money selling packages to others and creating a downline. Wish you the best of luck.
Peter
I own a towing company and belong to a number of groups of fellow towers from all over the country. I have asked and not been able to find a single towing company who has ever provided service for MCA. If MCA have as many members as they claim and these members are using the emergency roadside assistance, who is providing services for them? I can find no information on how a towing company can become a vendor for MCA. Do they dispatch through another motor club? Do they have towing companies on contract or do they look for services only when a member calls? How do they pay towing companies? I am aware of other motor clubs and how they work with towing companies to provide services for their members. I am on contract with three motor clubs and am occasionally contacted by other clubs, but in 25 years, I have never had a call from MCA.
Interesting questions Annette and I don’t know the answers. Perhaps someone who works for MCA could give us an answer. Or if you are interested in working for them you could contact them via the contact form on the TVC Matrix site.
Cheers,
Peter
I am not particularly interested in working for them. I am mainly curious about how they can claim to be a major motor club if I cannot find a single towing company who provides service for them. Most motor clubs actively recruit towing companies because without towing companies, motor clubs cannot function. AAA is the only motor club which I know about which uses its own fleets in some markets. Some motor clubs contract with other motor clubs to do the work for them. Most motor clubs, including AAA, have contracts with independent towing companies, dispatch jobs to them, and then pay them for job done. If MCA is a legitimate motor club, then who are their service providers or with whom are they contracted to provide services? No one seems to be able to answer this.
I agree it’s strange that there is no information about the towing companies Annette. But I think it is a legitimate motor club otherwise, you would find loads of complaints about the assistance packages not being honored. The worst thing about MCA is that people promote them as a money making scheme and not for their roadside insurance. Sorry, I don’t have an answer to your question.
Peter
They use towing contractors, I just used mine the other day. It’s whom ever is close to that location.
Hi, I was once with MCA, I liked the material and their plans. I stayed with them for about 6 months. I had a mentor who helped me for about 2 months (Online help of course) and then he took his material down for whatever reason. I stayed at home and was online often times 10-12 hour days sometimes longer trying to learn how to market the right way. It seemed to me he was more interested in making money for himself than training a team. I still have my business flyers, very professionally done, but to make a long story short- I never made any money, so I let it go. I was paying 19.99 per month which is cheap, but not making any money is old and tiring.
Hi Joseph,
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with MCA. To be successful you really need a good mentor who is willing to help and train you. Unfortunately selling plans like these isn’t easy and without the right training, you will struggle even if you’re ready to persevere.
Best of luck in your future endeavors,
Peter
I can teach you a simple method on how to use those remaining flyers. It honestly doesn’t take much work.
That was a great review about MCA. However, alot of associates that are not properly trained marketing the business makes the company looked bad. Instead of looking for a quick buck it should be about the core principles and values of network marketing. The benefits will sell themselves and all you have to do is share information. Zig Ziglar said when you help others get what they want, you’ll get what you want. That’s what it’s all about as long as they’re coachable.
Thanks MCARep! Many people that promote MCA aren’t trained correctly and they seem to promote Motor Club of America primarily as a money-making scheme and don’t valorize the insurance packages. I had a look at your site and I was pleased to see you promote MCA firstly for their insurance. In my opinion, that’s how it should be, after that if people find the insurance is good value they can promote it, with the aid of your coaching.
All the best,
Peter
Motor club of america memberships can be easy to sell if you sell the benefits and know how to market them properly.
Selling mca memberships can be very hard if you dont have the right training but either way the benifits are a great service to have.
Hi Vincent,
You have summed up one of the problems with MCA, that is you are reliant on your sponsor to help and train you. Either you have a good sponsor or you will be left on your own to struggle. If people sign up just to make money, they have no idea how hard it will be to sell the packages nor whether their sponsor will provide training. This probably means they will end up disillusioned quite quickly!
I hope you give your referrals good training!
All the best,
Peter
Id like more info
Hi Joe,
If you would like more info about MCA I suggest you visit one of their affiliates’ sites that are mentioned in the post or the TVC Matrix site. I don’t recommend MCA as a way of earning money online, I think it will be very hard to sell their plans and if your sponsor doesn’t provide you with any training you will be on your own.
I think it’s better to join a program that gives complete training and allows you to promote something you are passionate about.
All the best,
Peter
Wow it seems that Wealthy affiliate really out performs Motor Club of America. I just wondered how long would it take to earn a decent amount of money from online marketing using the Wealthy Affiliate platform. I have little to no experience and estimate that I have between 3-5 hours per day to invest in to learning Online Marketing.
I really want to work online one day, and know that it is possible with some dedication and determination, I just wanted to get a realistic POV!?
Thanks JS
Hi JS,
I prefer Wealthy Affiliate, but then I prefer affiliate marketing. I think achieving sales with MCA would be hard work and it’s not something I would enjoy. Saying how long it will take you to earn money online is difficult and it varies with everyone. It depends on many things such as your niche, how good your writing is, the keywords you use how many articles you post each week, etc. In general, I would say probably about 6 months to start seeing a regular income. It took me longer but I only have two hours a day to spare for my site. I would say go ahead and get started as soon as possible, but as you say it will take determination and hard work. If you never give up you will end up earning money online.
All the best,
Peter
First off I would like to say that Motor Club of America is a real company with real people and it provides real services. You can either make money through selling their benefits or through referring other people that are not interested in MCA services directly, MCA membership, but willing to promote it to other people and build a team of referrals.
Hi Katherine,
I am in agreement with you that MCA is a real company, with real people and they provide real services that could be useful. Also, it’s true you can make money selling their plans or by building your own team. All I say is that it will be hard making sales and you don’t get any training to help you, either with selling the plans or signing up new members, unless your team leader provides this. I think people should be warned that it won’t be easy to make money.
There are many associates who give the wrong impression, with videos on YouTube flashing dollars. I have also read of people signing up and being promised training only find their team leaders never reply to their emails. Although I feel the products may be overpriced, the main problem is with unscrupulous associates.
All the best and thanks for your comment,
Peter
Hello, Pete. I have read through your review a couple of times and found it very interesting and helpful. I think that your site is great. I love the way you break every little aspect down so the reader can truly understand what’s what.
Thanks Daniil, glad the review is helpful to you. Look forward to your visits in the future.
I happened upon this page and was doing a lot of eye rolling..until I finally got to (Ron)–someone speaking with a voice of reason and common sense. Lord only knows how annoying it is (and how much time I’ve spent) correcting headache inducing ignorance. One of the things I saw within this comment section was the infamous (“Price”) comparison and every time I see it I turn blood red. Why? Because folks are comparing Emergency Roadside Assistance ONLY…to..UNLIMITED Emergency Roadside Assistance AND Emergency Medical Services (and then say) one is the better bargain? Of course (getting MORE) will cost more! I mean, that’s just plain common sense! Also, many of the emergency medical benefits CAN be had with (other) motor clubs but most members don’t even know it because they don’t promote it or make their members aware, sticking only to promoting their roadside memberships. Why? More than likely for the same reason M.C.A is catching a bad rap; Apples v.s Bananas pricing. People want more but don’t want to pay more! It’s like a car owner comparing his basic packaged car model to the same car loaded with every imaginable option and saying the (loaded) one was over priced! LOL!
Let me clear up another (out of control) misconception! TVC Associates (owns) Motor Club of America. They are two separate companies that work together. Motor Club of America provides member services and TVC Associates handles affiliate member services and pays out the associate commissions. No affiliate/independent assoicate works for Motor Club of America, we are each independent representatives and it is against company policy to misrepresent ourselves as employees.
Another thing I find annoying are folks who make these comparisons but won’t call the company directly (800-435-7622) to get put on the right track with accurate information! What are they afraid of? The truth?
Thanks Sarah for your comment, I take it you are promoting MCA and having success with it. That’s great and I wish you continued success.
I agree that the packages from MCA offer cover for items not included in other assistance packages, as I state in my review. However, for me, when I want roadside assistance I want a reliable company at a reasonable cost. There are companies with prices a lot less than MCA and good services, for example Good Sam costs only $80 per year. It’s true, they do include less extras than MCA, but it’s the roadside assistance I want, not the extras. So I would be inclined to take a membership that costs less.
As for the ownership of Motor Club of America, I understand that TVC is the parent company of MCA. They maybe run as two separate companies with MCA dealing with the roadside assistance packages and TVC dealing with the marketing.
All the information in my review is from either the TVC site or the affiliate sites of MCA plus my opinions. I think these sites should be capable of giving us accurate information.
Thanks again for your comment,
Peter
You have some valid points in the article, but MCA should not be compared against any other income opportunity because it’s not one. The company is now and was always about selling a service and being a motor club. The ability to refer people and receive commissions is great, but that’s never been the key to what the company was about.
MCA has training in the backoffice which is fine. The PROBLEM stimulates from them allowing (well not directly allowing, but not forcing a strict policy against) the wild antics you see all over youtube where a few people are just flashing money around and showing decent cars claiming you can make this money too, blah blah blah. I think it’s pure silliness and I can’t understand why anyone would join under people like that to begin with, but.. they do because it appeals to the masses of people whom want something for next to nothing. WHAT!? You mean I have to WORK!? Pass.
When you look at the MLM structure of the company, it’s not significant enough to even exist. The referral of signup gets you $6.00, that’s fine. It should have stopped there. But they go on more levels with getting like 66 cents or whatever further down the line, which isn’t nearly enough, but practically doesn’t matter because most people sign up don’t do anything, don’t want to do anything other than have the protection, or choose to follow the training caught on youtube by clowns flashing money instead of following and treating it like a real business.
All in all, the company is cool and has done well by me. I just don’t think they should have ever allowed it to get out of control and should have stepped in and regulated against the foolishness that was occurring early. But of course… regulation = less sales, soooo…. I guess maybe that’s their reasoning for letting so much get swept under the rug, eh?
Thanks for your great comment Ron. MCA is often promoted as an income opportunity and I am sure many people sign up with the idea of promoting the products to earn some money, which might be hard work, but is possible.
I agree with you that the videos on YouTube give the impression that it’s easy to earn money with the company. If people join with this idea in mind they will be quickly disappointed and may end up calling MCA a scam.
As you say it’s a shame this isn’t more regulated, perhaps this would mean less sales, however it could avoid some of false claims against Motor Club of America. What’s more important sales or a good reputation? I feel being committed to achieving sales with a bad press is okay for the short term, but for the long term having a good reputation could lead to more sales.
I am glad you have done well from the company and wish you continued success.
Peter
Well done on such a thorough examination of this company. I would tend no to get involved with a company like this as they offer absolutely no training to their new recruits. They then expect these people to go on and lead a team? This is unreasonable and makes for a poor set up and success record. I would however have great faith in Wealthy Affiliate. This is a very worthwhile program with tremendous support and training.
Hi Brenda,
I am in complete agreement with you about the lack of training, this is unfortunately often the case with MLM’s. You often rely on your team leader to provide the training, which means this can be good, bad or non existent. The success records with MLM’s are notoriously bad, with MCA I haven’t seen any figures, but without a doubt the majority of people will have a hard time getting referrals and selling the plans.
Wealthy Affiliate, on the other hand, is a great place to learn how to build a real business and this would be my choice to get started. It may take longer to get your first sale, but over time you can build a substantial business.
Thanks,
Peter
Very in-depth analysis offered….quite good. I would have liked to have read a bit more about the success that you have experienced with WA in your About Me section. Success breeds success and perspective affiliates will be more prone to gravitate towards WA as they see/read success stories.
Bravo on a job well done!
Sal
Thanks Sal,
Getting my About Me up to date is on my list of things to do. So, thanks for the reminder. There are so many scams online, I spend much of my time bringing these to peoples attention and although MCA isn’t a scam, it is not something I would recommend.
Wealthy Affiliate is the best training program I have found and merits to be appreciated by many more.
All the best,
Peter
This is an extremely insightful and well written review of Motor Club of America. My family and I have been members of AAA Plus since around 1998 and have been very happy with the organization.
While I do like the products offered by Motor Club of America, some of which are not offered by AAA, it’s an MLM and that I will not be part of.
I like the way you compare Motor Club of America with the highly successful Wealthy Affiliate so readers can compare opportunities and avoid getting involved in yet another pyramid effort.
Karen
Hi Karen,
I think your plan with the AAA probably gives you better value than an equivalent plan from MCA. The prices of the packages with MCA aren’t really competitive, although they don’t cover you for the exact same things. It is possible to buy a package without becoming an affiliate and I certainly don’t recommend becoming a member of the multi-level marketing scheme. I think it would be very hard to achieve many sales with this program and I am sure there would be a fair amount of chargebacks.
For anyone joining Motor Club of America to start a business, I would certainly consider looking elsewhere for other business models. MLM is very hard and as you are dependent on your team leader for training, this isn’t recommended for newbies. Wealthy Affiliate, where you have excellent training would be a good place to start to learn affiliate marketing.
Many thanks for your visit,
Peter
Excellent review of MCA. I had no idea how that company works behind the scenes. The payback time period of 17 months would be a deal killer for me especially since you have no control of the customer service end of things. The lack of price competitiveness is also a big draw back for anyone wanting to promote this product. Little to no support is not good for someone trying to create a business model with MCA products.
Hi Ron,
You pick out several of the bad points about MCA. Just to make things clear you are paid for 17 months of membership in advanced commission. For the Total Security plan this works out at $80 or about $4.70 per month. If anyone cancels before the 17 month period is finished, you will have $4.70 deducted from your future payments for every month of membership that is not completed.
Not being competitive with plan prices is a big disadvantage and not having the necessary training will make it very hard to succeed, especially for someone new to network marketing. Another point I don’t appreciate is that many affiliates say you have to buy a plan to become an associate and start earning money, which just isn’t true.
Thanks for your comment,
Peter
Hello, Peter!
I have come across many MCA members before on the social networks such as Facebook and G+, but have never really fully understood the idea behind the program.
So I did a little digging online and came across your review of Motor Club Of America, which I thought was very insightful 🙂
Yep, it is definitely the typical MLM that we all love to hate, and the cons are especially offputting too. I personally wouldn’t invest in to a program that has little to no training and very little support as well, so people should bare this in mind with MCA.
Thanks very much for the advice, and Wealthy Affiliate certainly can’t be beaten from looking at the comparison table.
Neil
Hi Neil,
I agree a program with no training will make it extremely difficult for newbie to achieve any sales. The products could be useful, but when you compare the prices of the Motor Club of America products with their competitors, this will make it even harder. MCA is hoping you will not shop around looking for better prices.
A much better opportunity for building an online business is Wealthy Affiliate. There you receive awesome training and support 24/7. You will learn how to build a legitimate business and you will not be involved in an MLM scheme. All in all a much better choice!
Many thanks for your visit Neil
Hi Peter,
Just dropped by to catch your latest review of Motor Club of America and I would agree with you that it’s not a scam, but not really worth ones times when there are far superior programs out there like triple A.
I personally have a lack of respect for most any MLM because it seems to be some sort of brain washing for new entrepreneurs and it always ends in despair for the majority, 99% of those that enter these types of MLM’s make nothing.
As a young man I tried a few MLM’s and now as an Affiliate Marketer, I find it so much more rewarding and easy to make money.
Sure you have to work hard with both and take the time to develop marketing skills. But creating a website that is brand-able and sells honest helpful products and information online is much easier than beating down on your neighbors door, begging your friends and relatives to join, or spaming social sites like Facebook.
Plus you are always reliant on your down-line that may or may not produce for you. As an affiliate marketer I can invest 5-10 hours on a product review and that review can pay me back unlimited amounts of money if it’s a useful review that helps people who are looking for said product.
Thanks for clearing up Motor Club of America – I was wondering what all the hype was about.
Cheers,
Todd
Hi Todd,
I think MCA sells some genuine products that could be useful, but when you look at the competition they are way overpriced. Anyone trying to sell these products will have a hard time, first to actually acquire sales and then with chargebacks when people find out they can purchase a similar product for half the price.
Like you MLM is not a business model that I support. They always recommend you start selling to family and friends, but seriously do you want to risk alienating the people closest to you. I certainly don’t!
Affiliate marketing is more enjoyable, you write a review include a few links, your readers click the links when and if they want. It’s true this is also a lot of work writing honest reviews to promote a product you believe in. What I appreciate most is that there is no pressure on your readers, they are free to consult others reviews, buy from another site, do anything they like. With MLM you have to try and sell at all costs.
Nice to see you as always,
Peter
I like your review and appreciate your being honest with your readers because you don’t try to label every product as scam and show both, positive and negative sides of the program so your readers can make the right decision. According to your review, I can see that while Motor Club of America is not a scam, but it has some major flaws. Poor training is among major ones because without proper education you won’t get anywhere. The fact that it’s an MLM program is another red flag for me because all MLMs have a bad reputation and there are always tons of complaints about them. I would rather try Wealthy Affiliate because it’s legit and reputable program on the web and anyone can try it for free. I recommend anyone struggling to make money online to not look any further and try WA.
Hi Rufat,
I don’t think MCA is a scam, although their products are expensive when compared to their direct competitors. I feel that it’s the way they sell their assistance packs through a multi-level marketing scheme that has got them a bad name and also the fact that some associates promote it as an income opportunity.
I believe it will be difficult to earn money with MCA, that’s why I consider it a good idea to follow a training course and create your own business. This make take time, but in a few months you can start earning money online from your own website.
