SEO Clerks is a company a little like Fiverr, offering website services for a small price. In this review, I will try to determine if this could be a good way of earning money online and if the services could be good for your website.
Background
SEO Clerks was started in 2011, to provide a marketplace where people could buy SEO services. The idea was to create a safe and secure platform where the money was held by a third party until the buyer was happy with his order.
Jordan Delozier is the person who created and still owns the company. SEO Clerks was transferred to Ionicware Inc which includes a group of companies: Listing Dock, Code Clerks, Word Clerks, and Pixel Clerks.
The companies are all either marketplaces for small tasks or platforms for asking or replying to questions about freelancing or micro jobs.
Today the SEOClerks has more than 700,000 members, more than 370,000 services advertised and has processed more than 4,000,000 orders.
What is SEO Clerks?
This is an online marketplace offering search engine optimization services and other small jobs for a fee. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can request the service you need.
The platform connects freelancers who are offering a service to customers who are in search of affordable SEO or other services associated with a website.
Who is it for?
SEO Clerks is for anyone who wants to propose a service (gig) to earn money. There is no limit on the price a seller can charge and there is a very wide range of micro jobs you can propose.
This could also be for you if you want to improve certain SEO aspects of your site or if you want to outsource some of your tasks. Here are just a few of the services that are available.
- Translations
- Article writing
- Voiceovers
- Place or design banner ads
- Create backlinks
- Resolve WordPress issues
- Create a WordPress site
- Graphic design
- Guest Posts
- Manage social media accounts
As you can see, you can obtain almost any service related to a website.
How it works
For a seller – how to create a new service
If you want to set up a new offer you can choose from the following categories:
- sell a service
- sell an article
- sell tweets
- sell blog reviews
- sell an ebook
- sell software
- sell a theme
For example, if you choose to sell blog reviews you will have to:
- decide on a title and price
- fix the limitations of what you are willing to blog about
- choose a category that matches your offer
- add tags that match your listing
- decide if you want to offer a guarantee, etc
If you can’t think of any service you want to sell, you can bid on a Want to Buy (WTB) post. The WTB section is for people who need a custom task performed and this is open to bids which you can accept or refuse.

This looks very cheap to me. Buying a large number of visitors to your site for a few dollars probably means you will be getting low-quality bot traffic. This may make your stats look good, but is of no real value. As always you only get what you pay for!
Once you have delivered your service the buyer can rate your work, so you should always deliver good quality work and on time. If you deliver the service after the date specified and you have not communicated with the buyer, they are free to cancel their order.
Any dispute should be solved between the buyer and seller where possible. If no agreement is reached you can contact the SEO Clerks support.
As a service provider, you also get the chance to rate the buyer. When a service is ordered, the buyer pays the agreed price and the money is held by SEO Clerks. The money is only paid to the seller after the buyer has accepted the work.
SEO Clerks take a 20% commission on all transactions.
For a buyer – how to find a service
Find a service in a category or sub-category that interests you. For example, in the category programming, there are four sub-categories:
If you can’t find the service you are searching for, you can post in the Want to Buy section and receive multiple bids for your demand.
There is also a Want to Trade section where you can trade a service in return for a service offered by others.
You can communicate with the seller by the way of an email/instant chat styled system. From your management panel, you can manage your orders, post reviews and accept or refuse the completed work.
There are different options to pay for the service: PayPal, Payza or Bitcoins.
Different levels
There are six different levels for the members, you move up a level when you complete a certain number of services, purchases or affiliate sales.
A very brief outline of the different levels:
- 1. everyone starts at level 1
- 2. must have completed 10 orders/purchases/affiliate sales on time and have a 90% satisfaction rating or higher
- 3. must have completed 25 orders/purchases/affiliate sales on time and have a 90% satisfaction rating or higher
- 4. must be an affiliate, have completed 100 orders/purchases on time and have a 95% satisfaction rating or higher and have completed 50 affiliate sales
- 5. must be an affiliate, have completed 250 orders/purchases on time and have a 97% satisfaction rating or higher and have completed 100 affiliate sales
- X. this level is selected by the SEO Clerks staff, must be level 3 or above and an affiliate
There are more criteria for the levels, but this gives you an idea. It is obviously important to pay attention to the different levels and the comments from other buyers when ordering a service.
The higher the level the better the chance of having your work carried out to your satisfaction or finding a buyer who is genuine.
SEO Clerks Affiliate Program
Another way of making money with this program is by becoming an affiliate. Every time you refer someone to the site and they buy a service you earn 10% of every purchase they make for life.

Customer Feedback
Although SEO Clerks seem to be a legitimate site, there are many positive and also many negative reviews/comments claiming that it’s a scam. This is because the gigs are performed by freelancers who are sometimes very good, while others are not always very honest or provide low-quality services.
A genuine company, but choosing a good seller is the problem.
The seller receives and delivers order, the buyer then cancels the order for no reason.
You also find negative reviews from freelancers who have been banned from the site for breaking the rules.
My Final Opinion
I quite like the idea of SEO Clerks and think it is a legitimate site. However, having seen some of the comments about some of the sellers, services and buyers I recommend the site but use with caution.
There are without a doubt, many sellers who provide excellent services and buyers who are in the great majority genuine. Nevertheless, there are other freelancers who are there to scam the buyers and others that propose services that will not help your website – buying backlinks, social media likes or followers, etc.
Another unfavorable point, I don’t think the review system is completely honest. I saw comments from someone who was hassled after giving a negative review. The person wouldn’t remove the review so the seller contacted SEO Clerks admin and had the service canceled. Meaning the review was removed.
What’s the point in having reviews if there is a way to remove the adverse reviews?
It’s not only the sellers who create the problems. I have also read that some buyers canceled their payment after receiving their order. It’s a shame that there is a minority that spoils the image of this site.
Something else to consider is that some of the services being sold are not recommended by Google. Things like: buying backlinks, buying Facebook likes, buying Twitter followers or retweets and buying blog comments could hurt your search engine rankings.
Other services, as mentioned above, may seem very cheap, in fact too cheap to bring any real value to your site. Therefore, always be very selective when choosing a service.
Consequently, if you do use this service, carefully select the seller and only order a service that is not considered black hat by the search engines.
One good thing, with gigs on offer for a little as $1 you can give it a try for a very low risk.
If you’re using the site to make money, you will have to work your way up through the different levels to achieve a good reputation. There are people who seem to earn some decent money with SEO Clerks, they provide good services and deliver on time.
If you’re a freelancer, have you thought about starting your own online business? If you have a skill or a passion, you could build a real online business. Either on a platform like SEOClerks or alternatively, learn how to build your own website and sell your own services or other peoples goods and services.

I have been using seoclerks for well over a year now. I operate 9 sites and I have found this to be a very cost effective method of maintaining these sites in a high position. Granted, you have to do your research to find a suitable company that you can trust. Stay well clear of really cheap services, but there are plenty of good established companies offering a wide range of services. Just do your homework and read the reviews. Start with a few small jobs and monitor the results, don’t go crazy until you find someone you can trust and their work actually makes an improvement to your site.

They (seoclerk), stole my money. I was the seller and made a successful transaction with a buyer. But the next day, I received this message:

Reason: illegal service
But after reading their ToS (https://www.seoclerk.com/terms_of_service), there is nothing against selling cryptocurrency on their website. Please stay away!

But I wonder how they are on Youtube views. I mean I like to feel important (I know its vain but I do not have much else going on with my life since being disabled) where I can make a Youtube video, go to Fiverr pay a few buck and get a few thousand views, sure I will never make any money but it impresses my friends and family and makes me feel special. So I am thinking on trying them, so far with Fiverr I have not been kicked off so I wonder if the same is true with these guys as they seem to be cheaper. Thanks for the article

If it’s just to impress your friends then you could buy some YouTube views from SEO Clerks. But be careful, if you’re buying cheap automated views you run the risk of having your account terminated.

I have bought a number of products, I have paid for backlinks that did not work. I have paid for over 500,000 visitors to my site not one sale from that so far. I have paid for articles there wasn’t any plagiarism, but spelling, grammar and phrasing wasn’t good at all. It would cost me more for my web designer to go over and correct all the mistakes. You get exactly what you pay for, or the cheap comes out expensive..

There are some gigs that I don’t recommend paying for – backlinks is one of those. Better to build links naturally over time and have fewer links to quality websites with quality content. With the Google algorithm updates, it isn’t the quantity of backlinks that count but the quality.
Paying for low-quality visitors to your website isn’t going to help your bottom line. These visitors are untargeted traffic or bots, prefer paid traffic sources that work Facebook Ads, AdWords…
I’ve never had any success with cheap articles, always lots of editing and correcting. You sum it up in your last sentence – you get what you pay for!
There are some good gigs and workers on SEO Clerks, you have to be selective.

This is an amazing review about seoclerks. I have been working with seoclerks since 2015 and have never had any issue with them. I also use their affiliate program to monetize my blog. The truth is I trust them more than Fiver and People Per hour

seoclerks collects data without delivering service. Asks for ID picture after taking money
Basically Ive payed for their service. However after paying they asked to send them ID picture, Invoice pictures etc. i can not trust them enough to do it.
And I wouldn’t suggest it to anybody. Stay away. If they have the picture of your ID and Invoice they will be able to screw you majorly

I can only disagree with you. It is a major threat of identity theft. I dont need to do it on solid webpages. Why should they request it for something with a risk factor to destroy an online business.
Another problem they let you pay for the services and ask to send the ID copy afterwards. Which I would never do If I would know it before starting the order. In my case my order is already completed, but i have no access to claim it.
I’ve had to provide id details on a site that I consider very solid, just today in fact. I agree it’s not something you like giving because you never know how secure a site is. Today it almost made me leave the site but I completed because I needed their service. SEO Clerks should make it clear they need your ID before they accept your money. Hope you manage to resolve your problem.

Fiverr has much better quality than seo clerks.Seoclerks have lot of stuffs that is useful but mostly people like and use Fiverr.
With both these platforms, you have to be careful about who you choose to do your work. It’s true Fiverr is the better known of the 2 platforms.

Purchased backlinks from 2 different sellers at SEO Clerks. Not only bad (spammy) links
but most are not even showing after a month. Will never order from them again.

Sorry you had a bad experience with SEO Clerks. You must always be careful from who you buy from, there are good and bad workers. Incidentally, I don’t recommend buying backlinks.
I have used Seoclerk (worker smmnisa100) last week. They said said: “This order is Guaranteed
Seller Guarantees that I WILL COMPLETE or you will get back 20% of this order with no questions asked” They were supposed to complete my work within 1 day. I gave them 6 days. When it was not completed, I wrote back if you do not have capability or skills to do the work then cancel the order he cancelled it. When asked for the refund, its not returned even after 7 days of cancellation.
AVOID this website. Its a big SCAM!

I want to share with you my experience as a buyer on this site.
I order to somebody who claim that my ad will be advertised in front of 50 000 000 people on facebook groups.He provide me the lists where my post was added. I check the posts he made (few of them ) and i realiase that in that groups is no activity , nobody interact with nobody. The result was that nobody click my ad and from 50 000 000 views was no message to me or sale. I ask for a refund and reject the order many times and the seller insults me. I write to helpdesk with no answer in 24 hours. After this my order appear completed (not by me , by the seller) , but this time i had no option to reject.
I think i am a victim of a fraud and i don t know where to complain.

Sorry to hear about your experience, but unfortunately this is one of the problems with SEO Clerks. You always must carefully check the history of any sellers and if something seems too good to be true then it probably is. The only place to complain is to SEO Clerks but if they don’t take any action then it’s very hard to do anything. It would be good if they could remove some of the low-quality gigs from the site.

I can see how this program works, and sounds like a great idea for outsourcing if people need jobs doing on their online businesses but don’t have the time themselves to do them.
I also agree on choosing the right seller when it comes to doing the job properly because I once used Fiverr to generate a thousand visitors to my website, but they were untargeted and came from untrusty places on the web. Yeah, I had hits, but not one single lead or sale! At least it was only $5 I lost lol.
I will give SEO Clerks a shot, but will also be following your advice at the same time.

Yes, SEO Clerks can be good if you manage to find a good freelancer. There are many gigs advertised that probably won’t do your site any good in the eyes of the search engines. It might be tempting to pay for some backlinks or Facebook likes, but don’t be tempted, it might help your search engine rankings in the short term but over time it will only hurt your rankings. If you use the site take the time to choose a highly recommended freelancer and be selective in choosing the service. As you have had a bad experience with Fiverr I am sure you are aware of the pitfalls.

Hello Peter This is a very good overview of SEOClerks I had heard of them as I know people on Fiverr who offer services there but source them from here. As an example SEOclerks offer sending traffic to your website say 5000 views for $1 and then a seller on Fiverr does the same thing but for $5 so they make a few bucks on the transaction.
You are quite right the service is let down (as with any service that has 3 party vendors) by certain individuals that give bad or even scammy service. The same issues also plagues Fiverr. But if you can locate good service providers within these communities then they can be good value.
I am pleased to see you are promoting Wealthy Affiliate and can certainly recommend that as a platform for anyone wanting learn how to build a successful long term online business.

I have read about people outsourcing gigs from SEOClerks to Fiverr, although everyone may be happy with the result, this is not something I would recommend.
As always on a platform like this, if you find a good freelancer you will have a service that is good value, otherwise you can always refuse the service to recuperate your money. If you have a particular skill that people could use on their websites, this may be a good way of earning a little cash. The problem if you are buying or even selling is watching out for the scammers, they are everywhere!
Building a sustainable online business around that skill or any other passion or hobby you have, could be a much better option and you won’t have the problems with the scam artists.

Wherever there are services provided from freelancers you can not predict the quality of them and the experience of the freelancer.Too bad that these gigs are bombarded from scammers , they don’t ever stop.

I feel the idea of SEOClerks is quite good, but as you say it’s a shame there are so many scammers that try to profit from the system. Although, you never know what quality of service you will receive, if you choose a freelancer with a good rating, you can be pretty sure you will get a decent job.
The Facebook likes, Twitter followers and buying comments or backlinks are gigs that won’t improve your rankings and will probably harm your rankings in the long run. If you want backlinks or social shares the best way of getting them is by writing great content. This may take more time, but you don’t run the risk of being penalized by the search engines.
