If you’re new to the make money online world, then you might believe the hype you’re given at Secure Job Position.
They use phrases such as “Start Making Money Today” or “Spare 60 Minutes a Day and We Can Offer You a Certified, Proven Opportunity to Make Up to $379 Per Day!”
According to these people, you need an hour a day, a computer with an internet connection and that’s it! You can start making money!
Sounds good, probably too good to be true, that’s why you’re here reading my review.
It’s a good job you decided to check online for some reviews because this seems to be the latest in a long line of link posting scams operated by the same people.
When you see all the red flags and lies you will probably be perplexed as to how and why they are allowed to continue. There are so many scams online, the authorities haven’t the resources to go after many, but from time to time they do act, which is great to see.
In my review, I will explain some of these red flags which will help you to avoid this and any similar programs you find online.
Product: Secure Job Position
Overall Ranking: 10 out of 100 or 0.5/5 stars
Price: $97 with downsells to $57
Owner: unknown
Website: https://www.secure-job-position.com/gm6/
Who Is Kelly Simmons?
Apparently, the owner of this program is Kelly Simmons. This name is used in many other programs that are nearly identical to Secure Job Position.
If there is any doubt that this is a fake name then when you read the earnings disclaimer you discover that Kelly Simmons is a pen name the author uses to protect her family’s privacy.
To have confidence in a program you need to know who is behind it.
What Is Secure Job Position?
Firstly, you need to be clear this isn’t secure and it’s not even a job position.
As so often with these programs that promise so much, it’s difficult to know what you will be doing. They constantly tell you, you’ll make lots of money for very little work but forget to go into any detail about how you will earn money.
Posting links
Yes, they do say you will be posting links. However, they forget to tell you that to be successful posting links is hard work. Posting links is also known as affiliate marketing and is a legitimate way to earn money online.
Secure Job Position do offer some training for what they call search engine link posting. To be honest I don’t know what they mean here! The links you post will be in your articles not on the search engines.
These people tell you that you will be paid for posting the links. This is utter nonsense! You only earn a commission if someone clicks your link and then goes on to make a purchase. But first, they need to find your link!
What they mean is affiliate marketing
If you want to go into affiliate marketing you need some good training that tells you the truth. The truth is that to earn money you have to put in a lot of work to attract visitors.
Believe me, this doesn’t happen overnight. It takes months to achieve good search engine rankings, get visitors to your website and with luck some sales commissions.
So summing up Secure Job Position, provide some training for link posting on the search engines. When you have successfully completed the training:
- you have the Wealth Development Certification (a fancy name for a useless certificate that no one has ever heard of),
- or you will be known as a Search Engine Agent (another elaborate name that means nothing)
Who Is This For?
This program is for someone who wants to learn how to make money online with affiliate marketing. The only problem Secure Job Position doesn’t provide good training and they tell many lies or half-truths on their sales page.
Having seen many similar programs I would say this program is only for people who have money to throw away. Don’t join!
If you want to learn how to build an affiliate marketing site get some good training, without all the hype.
The Sales Page
Having a look at the sales page in detail may help you avoid other similar scams. Here are some of the red flags, presented in order as we go down the page:
Similar logo used on multiple sites
I wouldn’t normally mention the logo but there are so many of these sites that are almost identic, it may help if you recognize the type of logo they use. Let’s have a look at a few.
The incredible thing about these sites and there are many others, is that their sales pages are almost identic. They use the same photos, usually the same name – Kelly Simmons, the same testimonials…
These sites come and go fairly rapidly. When they have some bad publicity one site will disappear only to reappear under a different name.
If you see a site with a logo that resembles these and comes from Kelly Simmons beware!
Unethical use of logos
The logos of some well-known news agencies are used to give the impression that Secure Job Position has been featured on these sites.
Look at the wording and it says work from home opportunities have been featured on these news networks. By placing these logos the visitor to the site will think the news networks have endorsed this work from home program.
When reading the terms and conditions they clearly say “they are not affiliated with any newspaper publication or online news source”
Pressure tactics
Limited positions in your area. These tactics are often used by the scammers to make you take action or otherwise miss out on this “great” opportunity. The sad thing is it works!
I visited this site at different times and some of the other websites I mentioned above. Each time I had the same result, 9 positions left!
Video promoting work from home jobs
This is a video that you find on many of these make money online scams.
The video from a few years ago is about work from home jobs in general. It has nothing to do with this program.
The problem is that people will associate the video with Secure Job Position.
What will you be doing?
As I mentioned before these people don’t really tell you what you will be doing. They do say you will be posting links. Great, this is a legitimate way of earning money online.
Posting links is easy, with a little training anyone can post a link on a website. However, earning money from posting links is a different matter.
Secure Job Position wants you to believe you will be paid just for posting links. And their misleading calculator gives you the impression that you earn a certain sum for each link you post. This isn’t true!
To be paid for posting links, firstly people must see your links. Then they need to click on your links and purchase the product or service you are promoting.
To achieve this you will have to write an article or review for each link you post. If you are promoting a product you will have to go into the good and bad points, the features, the technical specification, what people who have purchased the product think about it, why you would buy it or not and perhaps give some alternatives.
In addition, one article like this won’t get you far, you will need to write many articles before Google will start to trust your site. Once the search engines start to give your website some good rankings you will start to get traffic. Then perhaps the visitors to your website will start clicking links and make some purchases.
With these programs that promise quick riches you are only given a part of the story. To earn money from posting links or affiliate marketing takes hard work and it will probably take a least a few months before you earn your first commissions.
Don’t believe the hype!
The Income Calculator
Wouldn’t it be great if it was this easy to earn money with this program. Post 15 links and earn $300 a day.
Unfortunately, this is another piece misleading information from Secure Job Position.
If it was just a question of posting links, I’m sure companies like HP or Netflix would use the cheapest labor they could find and not pay these high prices.
You can post links in forums or on social media which is quite easy. But the links will probably be removed. Worse you will become known as a spammer and you could be banned from some sites.
As you have seen above there is much more work to posting links than Kelly Simmons tells us.
False testimonials
The photos in the testimonials are stock photos you can find on many sites. All the sites I mentioned above use the same photos and text.
If you read the so-called testimonials they never mention the program by name. They use general terms such as “I enrolled in this program” or “if you’re thinking of getting involved with this program don’t hesitate”.
This means they can and do use the same testimonials on multiple websites.
A Free Consultation with a Wealth Expert
You can have a free consultation with a success advisor. Sounds good? The person you speak to will be a salesman trying to get you to buy more products or training.
He or she is not out to make you richer but to make himself and the company he’s working for richer. They’re after one thing your money!
Ironclad 60-day satisfaction guarantee
They offer what seems to be a solid guarantee. However, when you look at their terms and conditions, things aren’t quite so clear.
The term put forth an honest effort for the first 30-days means they will probably say you haven’t tried hard enough, haven’t followed the training or some other excuse to avoid giving you a refund.
How Much Does This Cost?
Secure Job Position costs $97. If you have the good idea to leave the sales page the price comes down to $77. This happens twice bringing the price down to $57.
Final Opinion
Having seen many of these link posting schemes online, complete with their hype and red flags, I recommend that you stay well away from this program.
If you give them your credit card details you will probably lose your money or have to fight hard for a refund. Worse still you’ll be open to phone calls from their salespersons trying to get all the money they can out of you for more useless training programs.
I know it’s very hard to know who to trust when you want to earn some money online. Avoid any program, like Secure Job Position, that tells you very little about what you will be doing and promises money straight away for little work. This just isn’t possible!
Affiliate marketing is a legitimate way to earn money online. The best way to start is to follow a training program that lets you start for free. After that, if you like what you see you can join as a paid member.
Go into this knowing it will take hard work and time to be successful. Having the right mindset from the start will help you enormously.
Have you tried Secure Job Position or one of the other websites whose logos are shown in this review? What did you think about the training? Did you try to get a refund? Let us know in the comments section below.
Wow! Am I ever glad I’ve smartened up over the years and learned to avoid scams like this. Sad to say I’ve fallen for at least one in my time hunting for online jobs.
I think for me the hardest thing was that are so many people online that review products, hoping to get commissions from people who sell them – people who don’t have the decency to give a negative review if something deserves it. For example, I could easily google “secure job position review” and find several good reviews too!
Thankfully, reviews such as yours, where you PROVE that the site is a scam, speak louder than the “it’s awesome and I made so much money” reviews. Much appreciation for what you do, friend! You are saving many people from wasting their money, time, and effort on bogus programs!
Hi Marlaine,
Yes, many of us have fallen for these scams and I agree, the so-called affiliate marketers who are ready to promote any program just to make a few dollars are unscrupulous. There is only one thing that counts for them – money! And they are giving the genuine affiliate marketers a bad name. Let’s hope my reviews help some people to avoid programs like Secure Job Position.
Thanks for your visit,
Peter
Hi, Peter,
Just read your review of Secure Job Position and I have to say wow.
You have provided a very thorough and in-depth look and validated a very sophisticated scam. I have to say most people (including me) would likely fall for the unethical line of featured on news feeds. The other of many red flags of course you identify is the Pressure tactics. if it is too good to be true, then it likely is.
Thanks for sharing this.
What program would you suggest for people that is legit and not a scam?
claudio
You right Claudio, if something seems too good to be true then it usually is. It’s good to keep this in mind when you’re searching the internet for online work. There are so many red flags here that you see in many other programs, it’s worth pointing them out again in an effort to stop people entering these scams.
The program I recommend for people is Wealthy Affiliate, a genuine step by step training platform. If people follow this training they can build a successful business. However, I think the most important point is to remind people that earning money online takes time and hard work. They shouldn’t expect to be earning tomorrow, as these get rich quick programs promise. It may take a month, 6 months, a year or more. You need to be determined, work hard and be patient.
Thanks for your comment,
Peter
Yes, any “company” that promises that you can make over $300 a day by working a mere 1 hour a day has to be a scam. But in regards to the fancy useless certificate you get upon finishing the training, perhaps it’s not much different than a useless college degree?
Not all college degrees are useless, of course, but a good many are. I majored in philosophy at a state college and have a useless degree myself. I was kind of lost soul back then and had little guidance, which is why I ended up with a useless degree.
Anyway, about a year ago, there was a person/company offering a system to buy and resell textbooks. I don’t remember the name of the system, though. However, the person wasn’t secretive or trying to hide his identity or anything. In fact, he had a free webinar to introduce the system. I’d like to know what you think of it.
You spotted one of the obvious signs of a scam BooBish! Sorry to hear your degree hasn’t been much use to you, still I rate it much better than the useless certificate promised by Secure Job Position. It’s just a shame you spent a few years studying and a good deal of cash for little reason.
I don’t know the system you are talking about but I do know of sites that buy and resell textbooks. So if you have any old textbooks lying around you might be able to sell them to recuperate a few dollars. As always, before dealing with any of these sites check for reviews as I have read some complaints related to certain of these websites.
All the best,
Peter
